Hi! I’m Kelsey O’Loughlin, founder of 23 Volleyball Consulting. A native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, volleyball captured my heart from the first day I played, to the conclusion of my 14 year career.
I helped lead my high school team to three state championships and went on to play Division I volleyball at Bucknell University and the University of South Florida. I served as a setter and five-time team captain, played for three different head coaches, and along the way, experienced just about every role a player can have.
I’ve committed and decommitted, navigated the transfer portal, earned a full scholarship, walked on without one, been both a starter and a bench warmer, and balanced life at both a private, high-academic university and a large state school. Through hindsight, I learned the questions I didn’t ask, the factors I didn’t consider, and what truly mattered to me — lessons I now share with the athletes and families I work with. That's why I want to fill the gaps in all aspects, becuase we don't know what we don't know.
I know what it feels like to chase a dream, make tough choices, adapt to new environments, and still love the game at the end of the day. With 23 Volleyball Consulting, I bring this first-hand experience and a lifetime of self-growth to provide genuine, personalized guidance for players and families. Whether you need help understanding recruiting, staying confident in your role, or making the right next move, I’m here to help you navigate it all — with clarity, strategy, and heart.
A huge part of my development was film analysis. Breaking down my own game — and the game itself — gave me an edge on the court and taught me how to see details others miss. Equally important were the failed leadership moments that built my resilience and humility. From middle school on, I poured myself into books, podcasts, leadership resources, and honest conversations that shaped how I lead, communicate, and connect with others — lessons I’ve continued to refine year after year.
One of the biggest reasons I started this consulting service is because I always valued the support staff who could speak honestly about my game and believed in my potential. Their impact is why I’m so passionate about being a trusted third-party advocate for my athletes today.
If you’re looking for real advice, honest answers, and someone who’s truly been there, I’d love to be in your corner. Let’s work together to build your path and enjoy every step of your volleyball journey.
